Juan Pablo Reyes is an emerging mural artist who has received commissions for more than 25 murals throughout Los Angeles and beyond. His mission is to use mural art as a bridge to bring people together and to empower one another through common experiences.
Juan Pablo’s range of clients includes the Trust for Public Land, Youth Policy Institute, the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Los Angeles Police Department,Los Angeles Valley College, Pacoima Beautiful,Arm & Hammer Museum, actor/activist/entrepreneur Danny Trejo, Project Grad, The Gr818ers, & LA commons. Juan Pablo Reyes is currently working on his BA in Architecture to expand his opportunities and build the new wave of futuristic Museums of 2030.
Juan Pablo believes community art is an investment in the future, and that artistic creation is the expression and act of freedom. All of his murals are therefore built with community participation, so that others can also access this important artistic experience. He particularly seeks to include undeserved youth in his process, to provide them with a model through which they can see a living example of how to follow their dreams and expand their idea of how they might innovate for themselves and their community.
Juan Pablo was awarded a Ryman Arts scholarship from Otis School of Arts. He has been recognized by Pacoima City Hall and the Los Angeles City Council. Please visit instagram.com/jpmurals.
